We are a Bedford Park based intermodal trucking company that is looking to cover a permanent/full time Dispatcher position.

Job tasks / requirements:

• Previous intermodal dispatch experience a must
• Familiarity with Chicago rail ramp operations and their respective online portals
• Workload reception and process. Approval and organization for services based on availability.
• Service pre-alerts, follow-up with rails.
• Creation of BOL and communication with SSL and clients.
• Equipment rentals
• Dispatching via in-house TMS software.
• Work on schedule and availability tool.
• Customer service
• Driver management (dispatching)

Desired qualities: proactive, well organized, assertive and committed to the company success, well-educated and reliable person.

Skills: Spanish/English bilingual a plus, logic, good written and oral communicator, multitask, capable to work under pressure and computers oriented.

Availability: Immediate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 Hour Shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• dispatching: 2 years (Preferred)
• Intermodal: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
